Simona Molinari is a pop-jazz singer-songwriter with 7 albums to her name. She collaborated with numerous artists such as Andrea Bocelli, Al Jarreau, Ornella Vanoni, etc. She performed in top Italian and international theaters, from Blue Note in New York to Estrada Theater in Moscow. She took part to Sanremo Festival twice as a contestant and twice as a guest.
We have seen her in prime time alongside Massimo Ranieri first and then Piero Chiambretti. In 2019, she made her debut as lead actress for the movie "C'è tempo" by Walter Veltroni.
In addition to writing and composing a large part of her discography, she also wrote and performed the opening theme song for "I delitti del Barlume" and the end credits song for the latest film by Giovannni Veronesi: "Romeo è Giulietta," recently released in cinemas.
Over the years, she has won numerous awards for her dedication, performance, and versatility. She received the Carosone Award in 2009, the Italian Excellence Award in 2020, the Tenco Prize in 2022, and the Callas Award in New York in 2024.
Currently, she is involved in a theater show called "El Pelusa Y La Negra," a song theater production created by Cosimo Damiano D'Amato, from which she drew inspiration for her latest album tribute to Mercedes Sosa.
