Valentino Corvino is an Italian composer, conductor, violinist and teacher, known for his extensive career in theater, film and dance productions. He has composed the music for over 30 productions, including operas such as Seta d'amore (2023) and Mettici il cuore (2019), as well as musicals and ballets for important organizations such as UNICEF and the Pistoletto Foundation. His works have been performed more than a thousand times in Italy and Europe, collaborating with notable artists and intellectuals such as Vittorio Sgarbi and Marco Travaglio.
Graduated in Orchestra Conducting with special mention at the International Piano Academy of Imola, he has conducted numerous prestigious orchestras, including those of the theaters of Bologna, Turin and Palermo. He has also arranged and directed crossover projects with artists such as Morgan, Antonella Ruggiero and Ben Harper.
As a violinist, Corvino has performed numerous concerts as a soloist, especially in the field of contemporary music and theatrical and dance performances, and is a member of the FontanaMIX Ensemble and the Arké String Quartet. He has collaborated with numerous internationally renowned artists, from Mina to Jovanotti.
In the field of teaching, Corvino has explored topics such as synesthesia and applied music, holding courses and conferences in various Italian institutions. Since 2022 he has been teaching at the “G. Braga” of Teramo, specializing in electroacoustic music and multimedia.
Since 2017, he has also been the owner of the Training, Research and Territory sector of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna Foundation and a member of the scientific committee of the cultural production company Innovio.
